Recently opened in Lichfield Road, Stafford, TGF Pizza boasts an extensive menu. As well as pizza choose from pasta dishes such as Lasagne or Spaghetti Bolognese or their platters which include chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, potato wedges & more! Fancy a salad? Then there’s Greek or Caesar, or for something a bit different why not try one of the Tex Mex Pizza specials, we quite fancied the Chicken Fajita Pizza! After much deliberation we made our choice! The only problem was we wanted different toppings so imagine our delight on discovering that, yes- they do half & half!! We went for the Meat Combo-Ham, Spicy Pork, Beef & Pepperoni & The Italian Job-Fresh Tomato, Rocket, Smoked Ham, Cheddar & Mozzarella Cheese. We also chose a side order of Stuffed Mushrooms. It arrived just over half an hour later piping hot & smelling delicious! The mushrooms were filled with cheese & tasted really good & made a good appetizer. However-we were really impressed when we opened the pizza box. For take away pizza it was really well presented, the Rocket on my half was obviously fresh, & it looked delicious! Fortunately it tasted as good as it looked, the base wasn’t stodgy & there was plenty of topping. Our 15 inch pizza cost £12.95 with our side order of mushrooms at £2.55. Good value for money we thought, so we’ll definitely use TGF Pizza again!! |

During an evening with friends recently, we decided a take away was in order, & called on Riaz Spice (Newport Road, Stafford). We ordered a Tandoori King Prawn Massala, a Riaz Spice Special Biriyani, a Special Balti & a Chicken Balti, along With some Side Orders of Boiled Rice & a Cheese Naan. It was delivered about 20 minutes later, piping hot & smelling delicious!! The portions are a good size, & good quality ingredients are obviously used by their chefs. Everything was scrumptious, & we all sampled each others dishes, & at the end there was not a scrap of food left!! Altogether the meal cost £25.75 for 4 people including side orders & free delivery & resulted in all of us full up & ready for a snooze!! |

This chinese takeaway opened in 2003 & has proved very popular with the Stafford 247 team. Reasonably priced, it offers all the usual fare but with a few dishes which are a little bit different. The Deep Fried Prawns in Salt & Chilli are delicious & for a starter quite a genorous portion! Stafford 247 tip; If you’re having friends round for the evening why not try 4 or 5 dishes from the starter menu, the portions are genorous enough & that way you get a good selection!! |
