For those of us without cars, supermarket shopping can be a pain, you either need to do several trips, get a cab or rely on a good pal with four wheels to get you & your shopping home!
Doing your shopping online has become a godsend to many people, the convenience of having all your shopping delivered to your door is great!
Iceland also do home delivery but the process is different. First you need to obtain a Home Delivery Card, & this is available in store. Just fill in the form, detach the card, hand the form in to a member of staff & you’re ready to go!
Before you shop you need to book a delivery slot, again find a member of staff to do this & also remember that home delivery is only available if you spend £25 or more-not difficult for most families!!
When you’re done go to the checkout as normal & inform the cashier that you have arranged delivery. I was most impressed when we tried out this service as they call another staff member to come & pack it all up for you which is the bit I hate!!
They asked us if there were any fresh items that we wanted to freeze then put those items in with the frozen food. All we had to do then was pay & go home!
Our delivery slot was booked for between 2pm & 4pm the following day & it arrived at around 3pm, brought by a very friendly young lady.
One of the disadvantages of online shopping is that you don’t always get exactly what you want, the great thing about doing it the Iceland way is that you’ve hand picked everything yourself so you know what you’re getting!
Iceland is also excellent value for money, there are always many special offers helping to save a few pennies. Remember also that they don’t just provide frozen foods! Fruit & veg, tinned goods, alcohol & cleaning products are available too so you can get everything under one roof.
We definitely recommend Iceland’s home delivery service; we can see why mums go there!!
